Most of us can agree that we are happy to have 2020 in the rear-view mirror and out of our minds. Except, of course, the valuable lessons and insight we gained during a very trying year.

As we begin to wrap up Q1 for 2021, we think it’s important to share successes and stories to provide hope for 2021 to be the year that gets us all back in action.

This story gives us inspiration that there is more work on the horizon, restaurants are re-opening and new hotels are opening their doors for the first time. The Ignite team recently wrapped a fun project for the Diageo Tanqueray brand on behalf of the new Marriott Dallas Uptown hotel.

In February, the Dallas Marriott Uptown opened its doors for the first time to enthusiastic travelers. And these travelers are getting more than just a good night’s sleep during their stay, they’re getting a unique beverage experience. This beautiful hotel is one of few in the world that has purchased and is showcasing the Tanqueray® Champion Shaker on property. This incredible machine is intended to engage and entertain guests in a unique and experiential way. The Ignite team was fortunate to be able to work with Jason Crawley, one of the world’s most famous Mixologists and the inventor of the Champion Shaker as we developed this program.

The Ignite team created the “Shake Things Up” campaign that features two base Cocktail recipes that can be made using Tanqueray® London Dry Gin, Tanqueray® No 10 Gin and Ketel One® Grapefruit & Rose, Cucumber & Mint or Peach & Orange Blossom Botanicals. We also built a custom cart and a complete operations and training plan for launching and presenting the entire campaign to the guest tableside. Our training team was onsite for 3 days giving great instruction and helping the Marriott team get prepared for the big launch. Even with continued Covid precautions, the trip was a huge success. We left the Marriott team fully prepared and excited for the future.

This project is not only exciting but spreads a lot of optimism for the coming months. We’re proud to be of service to Diageo and the Marriott family of brands. And most of all, we’re optimistic about 2021 being a “back in action” year.
